Bored at Work? Tubi Wants to Help You Secretly Watch TV on the Job

Canadian singer Miztrizz is looking to make a global impact with Rain SZN, her first EP which was released in July. She co-produced the six-song project with Jamaican Wai Fuzion.

Rain SZN contains Wine n’ Jiggle, a song released in late 2024. It was a hit in Canadian dancehall-reggae circles.

“This EP is a major milestone that makes the journey of creating my music seem official. It is a huge contributor to showcasing my musical passion,” said Miztrizz.

Put Me on Repeat, Lotta Love and Snapshot, a collaboration with fellow Canadian Empress Divine, are some of the other songs from the EP which she hopes will attract attention outside of her country.

“I want to tap into African, Caribbean, United Kingdom and North American demographics,” said Miztrizz. “Gaining recognition in Jamaica is definitely a musical goal as it is the epicentre of reggae culture.”

Born in Toronto, Miztrizz’s Jamaican heritage led her to the music of Tanya Stephens and Spice. She also counts neo-soul Grammy winner Toni Braxton as a big influence.

Miztrizz kicked off her recording career four years ago but it was not until 2023 that she made a mark with Let Me Know. That song was nominated for Reggae Song of  The Year at the inaugural Reggae North Music Awards in Canada last year.
