Lovers rock singer Pinnacle stays in his comfort zone for Fill Your Prescription, his latest song, which is produced by Danny Breakenridge for Upstairs Music.
The South Florida-based artiste plays a relentless suitor on the midtempo track, determined to win over a prospective lover.
“I do enjoy making these types of music, I just enjoy singing for the ladies. I do believe that there is always a place for good music, especially lovers rock,” said Pinnacle.
Born in Kingston but raised in Clarendon, he was weaned on the soul ballads of American singer Jerry Butler and British singer Matt Monro. Later, Pinnacle discovered the sounds of roots-reggae singer Junior Delgado, and expresses admiration for easy-listening reggae singers like Benjy Myaz.
Given his sturdy vocals, Pinnacle said he knew writing and singing songs for the ladies was his calling.
“My approach for writing music is to find a good, catchy melody. Clarity and timing is very important,” he explained. “Give thanks to the Most High for a big voice and great inspiration.”
