- A New Era of Opportunity for Caribbean Entrepreneurs and Africa-Caribbean Collaboration
LONDON, UK — The African Caribbean Sustainability & Investment Summit (ACSIS) announced that the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF) has joined ACSIS2025 as a Programme Partner Sponsor, marking a significant milestone in inter-regional collaboration, combining respective capabilities to generate meaningful outcomes and drive innovation specific to strengthening trade, investment, and sustainable development linkages between Africa, the Caribbean, and the global diaspora.
The CDF, an essential institution of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), was established to provide financial and technical assistance to member states in support of regional integration and economic resilience. Through its sponsorship of ACSIS2025, the Fund reaffirms its commitment to empowering Caribbean entrepreneurs, enhancing private sector competitiveness, and advancing inclusive growth through partnerships across the African continent and its diaspora.
As a Programme Partner Sponsor, the CDF will play a pivotal role in shaping policy dialogues, capacity-building initiatives, and investment facilitation sessions designed to unlock sustainable trade, financing and development opportunities. This collaboration positions ACSIS2025 as a dynamic platform for advancing South-South cooperation, deepening the Africa-Caribbean investment corridor, and fostering diaspora-driven enterprise collaboration.
“The CDF’s partnership with ACSIS2025 underscores our shared mission to strengthen economic transformation in the Caribbean, while amplifying the positive impact of CDF’s programmes across CARICOM and deepening our engagement with Africa and the diaspora,” said, Rodinald Soomer, CEO of the CARICOM Development Fund (CDF). “Through this collaboration, we aim to create tangible linkages that will translate into business growth, innovation, and job creation for our region’s entrepreneurs.”
ACSIS founding chair David F. Roberts, added:
“The CDF’s involvement is transformative. It brings not only financial leadership, but also developmental insight rooted in the Caribbean’s journey toward sustainability and resilience. Together, we are building bridges between Africa and the Caribbean that go beyond symbolism — into real, measurable partnerships.”
The partnership opens pathways for joint ventures, SME financing, innovation exchanges, and knowledge-sharing frameworks that will strengthen trade, climate resilience, and digital entrepreneurship across both regions. ACSIS2025 will feature collaborative sessions focusing on access to finance, sustainable development goals (SDGs), and inclusive investment ecosystems among other key topics.
With the CDF joining other strategic partners, including AFREXIMBANK, the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), and the African Union Commission (AUC), ACSIS2025 continues to emerge as the leading platform advancing Africa-Caribbean sustainability, innovation, investment, and trade.
